Welcome to our first episode in the JFMS Clinical Spotlight series. Each month we’ll be interviewing authors of recent JFMS articles chosen by our editors as the Clinical Spotlight article of the month!
For this month's episode, Nathalie Dowgray, Head of ISFM, is joined for a discussion by Katrin Jahn, DrMedVet, CertVA, MANZCVS (Veterinary Behavior), MRCVS, on her recent article, Feline Stress Management During Air Travel: A Multimodal Approach. As more cats travel by air each year, the use of a multimodal stress management protocol becomes increasingly important in order to safeguard the wellbeing of the cat during travel. They cover the challenges of air travel – both domestic and international, the different reasons cats travel, aspects that factor into cat’s fitness to travel, and considerations for medication for air travel.
